Singer Teddy Geiger: “I’m Transitioning!”
NOTE: Because there is no current information on Geiger’s pronouns, this article is purposefully written to avoid using pronouns at all.
In the early 2000’s, singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger appeared on the music scene with the hit song, “For You I Will (Confidence).” The song peaked on the charts in the US, Canada, and a few other countries. Geiger quickly became a heartthrob, with a smooth voice, and deep, soulful eyes. As well as being a solo artist, Geiger is credited with writing songs for artists like One Direction and Shawn Mendes.
As of lately, Geiger’s fans took notice that the singer-songwriter has been looking very different in appearance. Then on a selfie Geiger posted two days ago, a comment by a fan with the username “alright.aimee” read, “tell us, why do you look so different lately?”
Geiger’s response (as written): “Okay…because u asked nicely…I am transitioning. I started talking about it with a couple of my close friends and family about a month ago and it’s given me the courage to start the process. I feel like the next step is to tell all y’all. So here goes. Love it or hate it this is who I have been for a loooong time. I love u guys. Talk soooon byeeee.”
The singer screen-capped the original comment and response and made a separate post. So far, there has been no update regarding any preferred name or pronouns.
