Antash'a Devine Sherrington English died from a gunshot wound after she was found between two abandoned homes in the 1500 block of Ella Street.early Friday morning and taken to the hospital.

English, who was originally from Albany, GA, had been a featured performer at the InCahoots night club for almost 10 years. She was a multiple title holder in the transgender pageantry circuit who was well known and loved throughout the community.

According to the police report, the shooter was driving by in a grey car and shot at her multiple times. He was wearing a grey hoodie. A neighbor has said they called 911 regarding the incident, but would not say anything else out of fear of retaliation.

Friends of English are holding a vigil in her honor and a benefit for her family on June 7th at the InCahoots Nightclub where she performed.

English becomes the 12th transgender person to be murdered in 2018.
