Eligible California citizens will be able to register to vote at polling places on Election Day for the 2020 elections under a new law. Previously this could only be done at county registrar offices. Voters will also be able to change or correct their party registration, which may make it easier for independent voters to participate in the Democratic presidential primary and make it harder for hackers to suppress voter turnout by changing a voter's party registration. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2019-10-08/californians-register-to-vote-any-polling-place-2020-new-law
