Voting by Mail Still Requires Competence

Voting by mail can offer a safer and more convenient way to cast a ballot. But, recent glitches in states that have rushed to adopt the practise demonstrate that it still requires significant planning and administrative skill. Voters this spring have experienced ballots that were misprinted, arrived too late, or never arrived at all. And, get over your expectation that a winner will be announced on the night of the election.
