Meatless chicken nuggets are debuting today in Georgia.

KFC is testing a meatless chicken nugget with Beyond Meat, a California company that believes vegan, or plant-based, options are a better source of fuel for the body. Some would say promoting a product that is healthy, highlighting concerns about animal welfare and conforming to climate change ideals is a good thing.

Others might simply be skeptical that ingredients included in such plant-based food can actually be finger-licking good. Regardless, folks are lining up to give it a try:

Depending on taste tester reviews, consumers should expect this fast-food trend to continue. Burger King partnered with Impossible Foods to give us the meatless whopper and in July Dunkin Donuts served meatless sausage in Manhattan.

Even though KFC's new nuggets are plant-based, are they still deep fried? Seems like that is as unhealthy as eating meat but perhaps the Colonel's got a secret that will send this item to the top of the menu.

I'll tell you what I think right now: Nope. Nope. Nope. "Plant based Meat"? Gonna need a LOT more details on the ol' recipe. What plant? Is there a plant that tastes like chicken? The Guatemalan chicken fern? If so, why haven't we been eating that shit for hundreds of years? Nope. Nope. Nope. -The Mgmt.
