Have you ever taken a step back and just considered how many times we've been told, "This is the end!"? Evan Sayet and nationally syndicated cartoonist A. F. Branco have. Guess what? It's a lot. Like, a whole lot.

Going back to the 70s and "The Next Ice Age" it really hasn't stopped since then. As soon as one prediction fails, another one seems to miraculously pop up to take its place.

It seems ridiculous. Absurd, even.

And if there's one thing that comedians are good at, it's pointing out the ridiculous and absurd. That's just what Sayet and Branco do so well with Apocoli Now.

Apocoli Now is a faux children's book that colorfully points out the insanity of this seemingly never ending series of Apocalyptic visions. ("Apocoli" being the made-up, plural tense of Apocalypse that sums up all the gloom and doom.)

It catalogues the history of every one of these "theories" and artfully pokes fun. Good times! Why not?

Ahhhhhh, but now you're wondering if it rhymes. Of course it does! It's definitely got that Dr. Seuss vibe and the illustrations are classic Branco.

So when you're trying to figure out what to get your fellow liberty loving, freedom of speech digging, Right Wing friend? Get em a copy of Apocoli Now. (Also suitable for Left Wingers too. Ha!)
