Said she thinks ‘non-African Americans think African Americans all look the same.’ It gets worse from there.

On Sep. 30, U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D, MI-13) visited the Real Time Crime Center in the Detroit Public Safety Headquarters, and learned how its personnel use facial recognition technology. The Detroit News covered the visit. While there, Tlaib said to Detroit Police Chief James Craig, “Analysts need to be African Americans, not people that are not.” She also told him that, “I think non-African Americans think African Americans all look the same.” Her behavior became worse from there.

The above 30-second video clip provides a sample of just how Tlaib’s visit went. But The Detroit News article covering it shows how it was even worse than that. (The article also provides a longer video clip.)

So watch the above video. And then head on over to The Detroit News for, as Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story.
