Tucker Carlson spent a portion of his Dec. 3 Fox News program talking about the destruction of rural America. He acknowledged there isn’t a single force behind it, but he discussed one factor that has contributed to the decline of Sidney, Nebraska—a factor that might surprise conservatives.
The video is an easy 10-minute watch and I don’t have much to add to it. One thing I’ll say is that Carlson talked a good bit about a man named Paul Singer. If you want more details on him, check out this link, and this one, and finally this one.
Secondly, people use the terms the “free market” and “capitalism” interchangeably. I don’t. The free market is a good thing. Capitalism . . . I’m not so much a fan of that. And Carlson’s video goes a long ways towards showing why.
