FLASHBACK: Obama Threatened to Withhold Aid to Nigeria in 2011

As the Ruling Class tries to impeach Trump on a mythical “quid pro quo,” “bribery,” or whatever charge regarding foreign aid, it’s a good time to flashback to 2011 when Forbes published “Obama Fights Nigerian Anti-Gay Bill, Threatens To Cut Off Aid.” It’s a reminder of how puzzling it is that Trump and his backers remain on perpetual defense instead of perpetual offense against journalists, Democrats, and the rest of the Ruling Class.

No big analysis on this because the Forbes article speaks for itself. Here is one relevant part as it relates to the current impeachment circus.

Addressing the Nigerian press on Obama’s threat, Zakari Mohammed, a Nigerian lawmaker said, “We have a culture. We have religious beliefs and we have a tradition. We are black people. We are not white, and so the U.S cannot impose its culture on us. Same sex marriage is alien to our culture and we can never give it a chance. So if [Western nations] withhold their aid to us, to hell with them.”

Still more.

“No country has the right to interfere in the way we make our own laws because we don't interfere in the way others make their own laws,” Nigeria’s Senate President David Mark said when passing the bill.

So keep all this in mind as the impeachment farce continues. And while no one but Trump and his supporters can determine whether they are on offense or defense against the Journalist-Democratic Party, we all can determine for ourselves how we interact with the same.
