‘Dumbo’ Teaser Trailer Arrives [VIDEO]

One of Disney’s oldest cartoons is being remade as a live-action film.

Walt Disney released the animated Dumbo in 1941. And the studio is scheduled to release a live-action version of it (with a big assist from CGI) 78 years later.

The older a film gets, the less modern audiences are interested in it. Or at least that’s a general rule. So I’m not sure how many people are even aware of the original Dumbo any longer, much less have seen it.

But if you haven’t seen it, it is one of the best Disney animated movies. Tim Burton is at the helm of the upcoming film so I’m sure the studio is hoping that mitigates the risks of remaking the classic. Nevertheless, it’s going to have both a lot to live up to and a lot to overcome.

Social justice warriors hate just about everything. But they particularly hate America’s cultural past. Expect to see forthcoming articles about how the animated Dumbo is RACIST, and how the new version is contributing to RACISM! You also might see SJWs attack the circus that appears both in the original and the new version (although I suppose that depends on how the movie portrays the circus).

Disney succeeded in remaking The Jungle Book as a live-action film in 2016. It’s successfully remade other animated movies as well (such as Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast). And it is planning on remaking a bunch of its other animated films too. But Dumbo is going to be one of the more ambitious ones, and its performance may affect how the studio moves forward with the ones planned for after it. So stay tuned for that.

Dumbo stars Danny DeVito, Colin Farrell, Nico Parker, Finley Hobbins, Michael Keaton, and Eva Green. Disney currently has the film scheduled to open in theaters during March 2019.

Hopefully Disney does a good job of adapting it to live-action.

If the SJWs hate it, I can't wait to see it :)
