Here are the latest updates regarding the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, according to Bloomberg.

As of January 24, 2021, 6:01 PM EST, the global vaccination count was at 65.6 million. Vaccines have been administered in 56 countries and are averaging 3.38 million inoculations per day.

In the United States, 22.4 million shots have been administered so far. Vaccinations began in the US on December 14 with healthcare workers being the first recipients. The US is averaging 1.16 million inoculations per day.

  • 6.8 doses have been administered for every 100 people.
  • Only 54 percent of shots delivered have been administered.
  • California is the leading US state with nearly 5 million doses administered.

President Joe Biden hopes to get 100 million US citizens vaccinated in the first 100 days of his administration.
