Here are the latest updates regarding the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

As of March 27, 2021, 8:06 PM EST, the global vaccination count was 528 million. Vaccines have been administered in 141 countries and are averaging 13.80 million inoculations per day.

In the United States, 140,180,735 shots have been administered so far. Vaccinations began in the US on December 14 with healthcare workers being the first recipients. The US is averaging 2,677,034 inoculations per day. The number of vaccinations increased significantly in the past week as the US continues to ramp up the campaign.

So far 91.7 million Americans have received at least one dose. 50.1 million people have been fully inoculated.

  • 27.6 percent of the population has received the first dose
  • 15.1 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated
  • 77.6 percent of shots delivered have been administered.
  • California is the leading US state with almost 17 million doses administered.

At this rate, it would take approximately 4 months before 75 percent of the US population could be vaccinated. White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci has estimated that 70-80 percent of the population would need to be vaccinated before a return to normalcy can take place.
