The US death toll due to COVID-19 surpassed the 400,000 mark on Tuesday, according to CNBC.

The US has been reporting 207,300 new COVID-19 cases and 3,230 deaths daily, according to a seven-day average using data from Johns Hopkins University. Hospitalizations have also surged in the country up to around 125,000.

Here are the global tallies according to Johns Hopkins University:

  • Global cases: More than 95.91 million
  • Global deaths: At least 2.04 million
