President Donald Trump's picked Kathleen Hartnett White for a top science job in the White House. Hartnett White believes that climate change is a global conspiracy connected to the practice of paganism by liberal, secular elites and communist forces according to CNN.

President Donald Trump's nominee to be the White House senior adviser for environmental policy in 2016 described the belief in "global warming" as a "kind of paganism" for "secular elites." Trump last week nominated Kathleen Hartnett White, who previously led the Texas Commision on Environmental Quality, to head the White House Council on Environmental Quality, a post that requires Senate confirmation.

Climate change is connected to paganism

Hartnett White appeared on "The Right Perspective," an online conservative radio show, in September 2016 when she made the comments talking about a "dark side" to belief in global warming. "There's a real dark side of the kind of paganism -- the secular elites' religion now -- being evidently global warming," Hartnett White said.

She also draws a connection between the theory of climate change theory and communism.

"Some of the leaders, totally open, like the just stepping down head of the United Nations climate change program, Christiana Figueres, from Costa Rica, openly says that communism is the best system and maybe our only last chance to use -- and she uses China as some good example as the way we can avert global warming," Hartnett said.

Communism is a beautiful theory; it's the way many families work!

But it can't be imposed upon large numbers of people; they won't buy into it. And China is making some efforts to stop global warming; under Trump the US is trying to accelerate it.

I see lots of USA men and women online whining on about each other, so capitalist USA society seems more sick to me than Pagan Communist society. I think reason men and women in Europe have more more healthy relationship than serial killer capital of the world USA, is because despite north Europe becoming Christian, we kept a lot of Pagan culture where feminine was respected, and only really follow the new testament. While USA Christians follow the old testament more, where they routinely mutilate baby boys, who grow up with issues becoming school shooting Incels, angry women prefer to sleep with men who make them feel good

I certainly agree fundamentalism leads to violence and aggressive masculinity. In all honesty, "paganism" or Earth worship is not exactly the worst belief system to have (if you need to have one) given how poorly we've treated our planet. The hyper-puritanism of many aspects of American culture do change. Just behind the curve.

What should truly be alarming you guys (from an American perspective) is how easily people here are buying the idea being spread by some rightwing propaganda outlets and Trump via twitter, without much clarification or pushback yet by our "mainstream" (more or less fact-based) media, that the protests and riots in Paris over the fuel taxes and Macron's rightwing social benefits policies are actually the opposite. That people are protesting the fuel taxes and demanding a more rightwing shift and are chanting "We want Trump". That's how ignorant we are.
