Scott Pruitt, the current Director of the EPA, is looking to replace Jeff Sessions as Attorney General according to the New York Daily News.

Pruitt has been telling close associates at the EPA that he would be willing to fill Sessions' shoes if Trump gives him the boot, one person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg News.

Pruitt is currently dismantling the EPA and turning it into organ of industry. The EPA manager doesn't accept the science of climate change. Pruitt is known to be solicitous of the industries that he is supposed to be regulating .

Since taking office in February, Mr. Trump’s E.P.A. chief has held back-to-back meetings, briefing sessions and speaking engagements almost daily with top corporate executives and lobbyists from all the major economic sectors that he regulates — and almost no meetings with environmental groups or consumer or public health advocates, according to a 320-page accounting of his daily schedule from February through May.

There is speculation that Sessions could be fired or forced to resign soon since Trump didn't invite him to an official gathering of top Trump officials at Camp David this weekend.
