In election 2000, Americans had a choice between Vice President Al Gore and Governor George W. Bush. If Al Gore was elected, 9/11 may have been prevented, there likely would not have been a Patriot ACT, there likely would not have been war in Iraq, there would not have been the disastrous Bush tax cuts, for instance.

Prior to 9/11, President George W. Bush received a number of warnings that Sunni terrorists wanted to attack the United States, however, Mr. Bush did nothing until after the towers were attacked. Following 9/11, the U.S. became a national security state.

Since then, we are still living in the world that President George W. Bush created, particularly with the Middle East.
