Loving people for their differences is what I try to teach my grandchildren. I love the movie “The Cowboys “ with John Wayne, in that movie there is a young man that uses only 1 name because he is illegitimate he says he is a “mistake of nature.” There is also a line in the movie where the teacher remarks that “it’s a man’s world,” there is a reason that this whole “Black Lives Matter” is so important. The black people have truly been held back from EVERY single advantage that most white people have. Women have also been held back from those advantages. All lives do matter but that is NOT the point, the world has ALWAYS conceded that WHITE LIVES MATTERED. We have been privileged in most ways. Some of us more than others. It is time that we changed our ways and realized that we are ALL human beings no matter what color our skin is. The kids in the poverty stricken areas should be given the same chances for an education as the ones in the wealthier areas. Funding should be equal, grants should be given more freely to the less fortunate and all of the teachers in the public school systems should make a decent wage. The black people (both men and women) should have the same competitive wages as the white person doing the same job and they should Have the same opportunity for advancement.
I am so sick of hearing that black people complain too much about slavery and that it’s over but the truth is, our ancestors took away their roots and their identity and forced them to do farm work and treated them like animals. They lost more than can ever be replaced.
So for this ignorant woman that can only teach hate, shame on you!!!!! I feel sorry for your grandchildren. They deserve to have a grandma that loves them enough to NOT instill hatred in their hearts.
