Wilbur Ross: “It’s Disappointing” Air Traffic Controllers Are Calling In Sick

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross finds it "disappointing" that unpaid air traffic controllers are calling in sick.

President Trump's commerce secretary, Wilbur Ross, said on CNBC Thursday morning that "it's disappointing" air traffic controllers, who are impacted by the partial government shutdown, are calling in sick.

Informed that these federal workers are struggling financially as they are expected to work without pay, Ross said, "Well, remember, they are eventually going to be paid" — as though this erases their immediate needs.
