Whistleblower: The WH Is Hiding More Than One Presidential Transcript

A note hidden in the appendix of the complaint indicates extensive inappropriate conduct by Trump’s administration.

A note in the appendix of the declassified version of the whistleblower complaint about President Donald Trump’s call with Ukraine’s president raises more questions regarding the Trump administration’s inappropriate conduct, according to Newsweek

The note referenced section II of the complaint and said: “According to White House officials I spoke with, this was ‘not the first time’ under this Administration that a Presidential transcript was placed into this codeword-level system solely for the purpose of protecting politically sensitive--rather than national security sensitive--information.”

Section II of the complaint concerned Trump and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani’s alleged attempts to investigate former President Joe Biden for corruption, which included “effort to restrict access to records related to the call.”

White House officials, according to the whistleblower, were “directed” by White House lawyers to remove the call transcript from the computer system that would’ve disseminated to Cabinet officials, and instead put in a separate electronic system “used to store and handle classified information of an especially sensitive nature.”

The computer system was “reserved for codeword-level intelligence information, such as covert action” and “some officials voiced concerns internally that this would be an abuse of the system,” the whistleblower wrote.
