When Warned Of Russia’s Election Interference, McConnell Threatened Obama

Mitch McConnell intentionally kept the door open for Russia to interfere in an United States election.

In an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Washington Post reporter Greg Miller recounts how Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) reacted when he was asked by former Director of Central Intelligence John Brennan if he would join President Obama in condemning Russia’s blatant interference in the 2016 election.

McConnell responded by saying not only would he not join President Obama in condemning Russia, he promised that if Obama went public with this information, he would claim Obama, not Russia, was the party engaging in election interference.
