During a March interview with Fox & Friends, President Trump openly admitted that Republicans would never win elections if voting were made easier.

He said of Democrats' legislative attempt to increase voter participation:

"The things they had in there were crazy. They had levels of voting, that if you ever agreed to it you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again."
