Video: Wisconsin Teacher Placed On Leave After Ripping Out A Student's Braids

Rob Mueller-Owens was put on leave after allegedly ripping out the braids of an 11-year-old student.

The mother of an 11-year-old girl at Whitehorse Middle School in Wisconsin said teacher and acting principal Rob Mueller-Owens assaulted her daughter and ripped three braids from her head, according to Channel 3000.

The girl and one of her classmates reportedly sprayed too much perfume during class, and Mueller-Owens was called to handle to issue. But upon encountering the girl, the acting principal went overboard, her mother said, with surveillance video showing him push the student out of the classroom and across the hallway before dropping down on top of her.

Madison Metropolitan School District has placed Mueller-Owens on leave as an investigation is conducted.

The mother, Mikiea Price said her daughter has been traumatized by the incident and is unwilling to return to school.
