Ukrainian Prosecutor Named In Complaint: Hunter Biden Did Not Violate Any Laws

Although former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko does not believe that Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, violated any Ukrainian laws, President Trump and Rudy Giuliani continued their campaign to coerce the Ukrainian government to open an investigation into Biden, according to Axios.
Lutsenko looked into allegations that Joe Biden pressured Ukraine into firing former Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in March 2019. It was alleged that Biden wanted to close an investigation into Burisma Holdings, where Hunter Biden served as a board member.
Lutsenko later walked back on the allegations, yet Trump and his personal lawyer capitalized on them, even after House Democrats threatened to launch an impeachment inquiry into Trump for soliciting foreign interference in the upcoming 2020 election.
The whistleblower complaint released Thursday provided that Ukrainian leadership was “led to believe” that a phone call or meeting between Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky depended on whether Zelensky would be willing to “play ball” on the “issues” surrounding Biden.
