Israel was specifically warned that any sensitive information passed to the White House could be leaked to the Russians.

At a meeting with members of Israeli intelligence in Langley, Virginia shortly before Trump's inauguration, a U.S. intelligence official warned Israel to tread carefully after Trump took office, due to the agencies' belief Russia had “leverages of pressure” over the newly elected president.

The advice specifically mentioned the possibility that sensitive information given to the White House or National Security Council could be leaked to the Russians.

A few months later, Trump made headlines when he revealed highly classified intelligence information during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

The meeting took place the same week Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, who was overseeing an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
