TRUMP WILL LIKELY RETURN RUSSIA’S U.S. BASED SPYING COMPOUNDS IN EXCHANGE FOR NOTHING

President Donald Trump will likely return two U.S. based Russian spying compounds in New York and Maryland back to the Russian Federation in exchange for nothing.

Former President Barack Obama authorized the property seizures as retribution for Russian interference into the 2016 election.

The Trump administration originally conditioned the return of these two compounds in return for the U.S. constructing a new embassy in St. Petersburg.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has dropped that condition, however.

The Trump administration is reportedly considering the removing the diplomatic immunity tied to both compounds prior to handing them over, however.

The U.S. government has linked these compounds to Russian intelligence since the 1980’s.

President Obama originally threatened to close these compounds down following a wave of Russian harassment against U.S. diplomats stationed in Europe.
