Ivana Trump, the president's first wife, reportedly will tackle America's obesity epidemic.

A month after First Lady Melania Trump announced her "Be Best" initiative, the woman who called herself “the first Trump lady” has announced an initiative of her own.

Ivana Trump – the president’s first wife and mother of Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric – will join forces with Italian nutritionist Gianluca Mech to tackle America’s obesity epidemic, according to CNN.

"The obesity rate in the United States has reached epidemic proportions and together with my dear friend Gianluca Mech, we will be introducing the 'Italiano Diet' to Americans from coast to coast," Trump said in a statement provided to CNN. "We have to fight this now because it is getting worse particularly among young people who need to be taught how to eat and exercise correctly so that they can have a long and healthy life."

President Trump himself might be interested in more information – following his physical earlier this year, he said he hoped to lose 10 to 15 pounds in an effort to avoid crossing into obese territory.
