TRUMP WARNS ROBERT MUELLER NOT TO INVESTIGATE HIS FINANCES BEYOND RUSSIA PROBE

President Donald Trump warned Special Counsel Robert Mueller not to look into his family’s personal finances beyond the Russia probe according to an article in the New York Times.

Mr. Mueller has broad discretion to investigate Mr. Trump and his family’s finances wherever the evidence may lead him.

The President did not say if he would fire Mr. Mueller or what he would do if Mr. Mueller crossed his arbitrary line, but Mr. Trump made it clear that if Mr. Mueller crossed this line, it would be unacceptable to him.

Mr. Trump used the New York Times interview as an opportunity to smear Mr. Mueller:

He was up here and he wanted the job,” Mr. Trump said. After he was named special counsel, “I said, ‘What the hell is this all about?’ Talk about conflicts. But he was interviewing for the job. There were many other conflicts that I haven’t said, but I will at some point.”
