Trump Vows To Sue Nevada For “Illegal” Mail-In-Voting
President Trump threatens a lawsuit over Nevada's decision to implement statewide mail-in voting
President Trump has threatened a lawsuit after Nevada approved legislation that would send mail-in ballots to all voters in the state, according to the Washington Post.
- The president claimed that the move was illegal and Democrats were exploiting the pandemic to win the election. He tweeted:
“In an illegal late night coup, Nevada’s clubhouse Governor made it impossible for Republicans to win the state. Post Office could never handle the Traffic of Mail-In Votes without preparation. Using Covid to steal the state. See you in Court!”
- This tweet was part of Trump’s long campaign of undermining confidence in mail-in voting. He even has gone as far as suggesting that the November election be postponed until all ballots can be taken in person.
