President Donald Trump tweeted more than 100 times on Sunday, reports The Independent. Most of the tweets were about the Russia investigation and Michael Flynn -- not the coronavirus epidemic or its death toll, which almost reached 80,000 over the weekend.

Trump tweeted and retweeted theories about the Obama administration, which he says conspired to sabotage his incoming administration. Trump spent the day on social media trying to connect the dots in a conspiracy that allegedly involves former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Congressman Adam Schiff, and former FBI Director James Comey.

“The biggest political crime in American history, by far,” he tweeted.

“OBAMAGATE!” another tweet simply read.

  • Trump’s barrage of tweets comes after Flynn’s charges were dropped on Thursday. Flynn, Trump's first national security adviser, had pleaded guilty to lying in the Mueller investigation in 2016, but then reversed his position later.
  • Not one of Trump’s tweets were about consoling those who have died in the pandemic. Only a handful were about the pandemic at all.
  • 100 tweets seems like a lot for one day, but Trump did not break his previous record. During his impeachment proceedings, Trump tweeted 142 times in a 24 hour period.

President Trump continues to downplay the impacts of the virus, instead focusing on his reelection efforts in November.
