Trump Suggests He’s Immune To The Coronavirus Despite Being Infected By It
President Donald Trump, who remains infected with the coronavirus, said in a video released on Twitter Monday evening: "Now I'm better and maybe I'm immune."
- Trump returned home to the White House from Walter Reed Medical Center on Monday evening, though Axios reported that White House physician Sean Conley said Trump "may not be entirely out of the woods yet."
- Trump also reiterated in the latest video that Americans should not allow the coronavirus to “dominate” them.
It followed his earlier comments posted to Twitter, saying: "Don't be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life."
Upon reaching the White House earlier Monday, Trump took off his mask and saluted Marine One after returning from the Walter Reed Medical Center. He then went into the White House, still maskless and infected with COVID-19.
- Chris Kocher, the executive director of COVID Survivors for Change, responded in a statement: "The president has access to medical treatments that aren’t available to most people, and it very well may have saved his life. But more than 200,000 people are dead [from the virus] on his watch."
