Trump Shares GOP Lawmaker’s Tweet Admitting He Abused Power Of The Presidency

President Trump effectively makes a confession by approving of Rep. Doug Collins' tweet which conceded Trump's abuse.

Rep. Doug Collins, a Republican from Georgia, admitted that he believed President Donald Trump had abused his presidential power and obstructed Congress, but falsely argued that all other presidents had engaged in the same corruption, according to Raw Story.

“They just wanted to get at the president,” Trump tweeted. “They had no intention of having a proper investigation. They couldn’t find any crimes so they did a vague abuse of power and abuse of Congress, which every administration from the beginning has done.”

Despite Collins and Trump’s belief that all other presidents had engaged in some sort of illegal activity, Democratic lawmakers, historians, and hundreds of legal experts have unanimously concluded that Trump’s actions were an unprecedented effort by a U.S. president to solicit foreign interference in elections.
