Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has “learned” his lesson following remarks he made at the G-7 summit Saturday criticizing U.S. trade policies – this according to President Trump.
Speaking for the first time about the acrimonious conclusion of the Group of Seven meeting in Quebec over the weekend, Trump said he felt Trudeau had mischaracterized the U.S. position in a press conference after the summit.
Trump's initial response to Trudeau’s comments was to back out of signing the group's agreement summarizing the weekend's talks, but Tuesday Trump appeared to threaten all Canadians and said Trudeau had “learned”.
“That’s going to cost a lot of money for the people of Canada,” Trump said during a lengthy press conference in Singapore on Tuesday. “He learned.”
