Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen could soon be replaced by Kansas' Kris Kobach, according to Politico.

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions is unlikely to be the last Trump administration official ousted post-midterm elections, according to Politico, and one of the next officials to be replaced could be Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen.

The president reportedly is displeased with Nielsen due to her “alleged weakness on border security.”

Her potential successor? Failed Kansas gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach.

> Trump has talked about replacing Nielsen with Kris Kobach, a right-wing immigration hawk who lost his bid for governor of Kansas governorship on Tuesday — though he has privately acknowledged Kobach would struggle to win Senate confirmation. Another name that’s recently been discussed for the job: Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, a longtime friend and ally of the president’s.

As Trump considers the move to replace Nielsen — along with some other Cabinet officials — he “will be torn between his desire to dump people he dislikes or considers unhelpful and the optics of mass firings and potentially ugly Senate confirmation fights, according to several White House aides and Trump allies.”
