President Trump also asks that his hands be made to look larger by making his fingers look longer.

According to Gizmodo, Trump’s recent Facebook and Instagram accounts have released photos of Trump that have been edited to make him look thinner. Gizmodo has discovered multiple photos that have been retouched since October 2018.

On January 17, an image published on the official Donald J. Trump Facebook page and later on his Instagram, was edited to make the President look more fit. When compared to the White House Flickr page, it is clear that the photo has been altered.

In the original photo, Trump’s face is not as slim, his haircut is different, and his finger is slightly shorter.

Trump has been sensitive about the size of his hands since a journalist, Graydon Carter, called Trump a “short-fingered vulgarian.”

“To this day, I receive the occasional envelope from Trump,” Carter wrote in 2015, before Trump won the presidency. “There is always a photo of him—generally a tear sheet from a magazine. On all of them he has circled his hand in gold Sharpie in a valiant effort to highlight the length of his fingers. I almost feel sorry for the poor fellow because, to me, the fingers still look abnormally stubby.”

For someone who is so concerned about “fake news” it is surprising and hypocritical that Trump’s team would use photos that were altered to look thinner, less wrinkled, and with longer fingers.
