An ABC News poll recently showed that Trump’s support within his own party dropped 13 points since July, earning the president a new low as impeachment proceedings ramp up in the House.

What’s more, 16 percent of Republican-leaning independents said at this point, they would flip to Democratic candidate Joe Biden over Trump, and 30 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents said they would prefer the party to nominate someone other than Trump in 2020.

Polls currently show Trump losing in head-to-heads with all of the top Democratic candidates, though ABC noted that polls offered similar results as Hillary Clinton ran an unsuccessful campaign against him in 2016.

The news outlet also noted that “Biden is +30 points vs. Trump in those blue states, for example, while just +7 points – not a statistically significant difference – in the 2016 red states.”
