Trump Claims That Cats And Dogs Are Receiving Mail-In Ballots, Animals Are Mum
President Donald Trump has repeated his claim in recent days that dogs and cats are being sent mail-in ballots.
- On August 10, Trump said during a press conference that mail-in ballot applications were sent to people who “weren’t living,” while others were “sent to pets, dogs.”
- On August 12, the president said, "Many were sent to dead people…I guess 2,3,4 were sent to dogs. One was sent to a cat. They are sent all over the place.”
- And on Tuesday, Trump said, "You can't have millions and millions of ballots sent all over the place, sent to people that are dead, sent to dogs, cats, sent everywhere.”
At the time of publishing, no cats or dogs had offered comment.
