Trump tells U.S. Coast Guard how good the F-35 is, hinting once again that he believes the fighter jet is invisible.

In his Thanksgiving address to the U.S. Coast Guard, President Trump explained why the F-35 "wins every time."

We're ordering a lot of planes, in particular the F-35 fighter jet, which is, you know, almost like an invisible fighter. I was asking the Air Force guys, I said, 'How good is this plane?' They said, 'Well sir, you can't see it.' I said, 'Yeah, but in a fight, you know. In a fight like I watch on the movies. A fight, they're fighting. How good is it?' Say, 'Well it wins every time, because the enemy cannot see it.' Even if it's right next to it, it can't see it.

Trump had spoken on this subject previously while visiting Puerto Rico in October, saying:

“So amazing we are ordering hundreds of millions of dollars of new airplanes for the air force, especially the F-35. You like the F-35? ... You can’t see it. You literally can’t see it. It’s hard to fight a plane you can’t see.”

He also said:

“That’s an expensive plane you can’t see. As you heard, we cut the price very substantially. Something that other administrations would never have done – that I can tell you.”
