There is proof that he lied to Congress. He should be impeached. A Judge cannot be a liar. Honesty and candor are very serious things in the legal profession (despite the bozos that are often seen on TV).

What I particularly like about the argument in the article is that if the Democrats take the House, they can immediately open impeachment proceedings on Bart. Once they establish the veracity of Dr. Ford's claims (which I expect they will find), they then have a clear case for perjury.

But the most potent element in all of this is the advice to make this message clear to Senate Republicans immediately, to make it very clear to them that getting the confirmation vote does not settle this and hope they can see the value of letting a full investigation go through now - in an orderly fashion - so the legitimacy of the Supreme Court is not further threatened.

And if the GOP ignores the advice, so be it. And they will certainly be able to squelch the 2/3 impeachment vote in the Senate, but they will pay dearly in the process, as each of their senators, one by one, goes on the record and vouches for a man by then proven to be an attempted rapist.

That vote will never be forgotten. It will be the end of the road for many women and the GOP, further isolating this party as the party of aging white men who care for nothing and no one but themselves, not even their own daughters, mothers, sisters and wives.

The FBI needed to interview these former students from Yale. His classmates. None of these people wanted this. But felt it our their civic duty to speak the truth and say that Brett lied under oath while seeking to become a Supreme Court justice. That is our one and only message, but it is a significant one. For we each believe that telling the truth, no matter how difficult, is a moral obligation for our nation’s leaders. No one should be able to lie their way onto the Supreme Court. Honesty is the glue that holds together a society of laws. Lies are the solvent that dissolves those bonds. All of us went to Yale, whose motto is “Lux et Veritas” (Light and Truth). Brett also belonged to a Yale senior secret society called Truth and Courage. We believe that Brett neither tells the former nor embodies the latter. For this reason, we believe that Brett Kavanaugh should not sit on the nation’s highest court. Just because trump has lied over 5,000 times I still believe that if the FBI could have talked to this people, they would have had a more clear image of this man. If you lie to get a job you can best believe that they will lie about other things. I agree with the Yale students who's voices were not heard but message still matters. Thank you for trying to do the right thing. That's more important as the truth will come to light it always does. Sooner or later.

We may first have to fight the Republican leaders who rigged the elections or we won't have the numbers to do anything else.
