The New York Post, A Murdoch Paper, Deletes Story About Trump Rape Allegation

Col Allan, a pro-Trump adviser to the Post, ordered that the article be taken down.

The New York Post has deleted a story about journalist Jean Carroll’s sexual assault accusation against Trump. According to CNN, the story was taken down from the Post’s website on Friday afternoon.

Caroll alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her in the 1990s. She says he forcibly penetrated her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room after he asked her to put on lingerie. Trump has denied Caroll’s allegation.

Two people who were familiar with the situation said that former editor-in-chief of the Post, Col Allan, who is now an adviser for the Post, directed the article to be taken down from the website. Allan is a supporter of Trump and a longtime ally of Murdoch, who is the head of News Corporation, the owner of the Post.

People working with the Post believe that Murdoch hired Allan as an adviser in order to make the Post more pro-Trump.
