The Lincoln Project tweeted, “Thought of the day: if Gavin McInnes was named Ahmad, how soon would he be deported?”

In a new ad, the anti-Trump group Lincoln Project called on U.S. Immigration to deport British-Canadian right-wing activist Gavin McInnes, the founder of Proud Boys.

  • The ad highlights reporting that “The FBI categorizes the Proud Boys as an extremist group with ties to White nationalism” and shows clips of Proud Boys members perpetrating violence.
  • “We will kill you. That’s the Proud Boys in a nutshell,” McInnes says in one clip. “We will kill you. We look nice. We seem soft. We have ‘boys’ in our name. But like Bill the Butcher in the Bowery Boys, we will assassinate you.”
  • After flashing the hashtag ‘DEPORTGAVIN’, the ad ends with President Trump’s words from Tuesday’s presidential debate:

“Proud Boys, stand back and stand by.”

  • Along with the video, the Lincoln Project tweeted: “Thought of the day: if Gavin McInnes was named Ahmad, how soon would he be deported?”
