T.J. MAXX AND MARSHALLS TO STOP PROMOTING IVANKA TRUMP’S BRAND IN STORES

Ivanka Trump isn’t being thrown out of T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores. But she’s going to be less visible there.

That’s according to a report from the New York Times, which says the Framingham-based TJX Companies, which owns both chains, has told employees to remove the First Daughter’s fashion brand from separate display racks and move her products in with other clothes on general merchandise racks. Any signs advertising Ivanka Trump’s brands were to be thrown away.

“From time to time, we communicate with our stores about how to handle merchandise. The communication we sent instructed stores to mix this line of merchandise into our racks, not to remove it from the sales floor,” TJX spokeswoman Erika Towers told the Globe in a statement.
