Someone smashed the window of Sen. Mark Warner's office with a brick early Monday. No one was inside at the time.

Roanoke City Police arrested a man Monday in connection with an incident at Senator Mark Warner’s (D-VA) office: he allegedly threw a brick through the window early Monday morning.

“Thankfully, due to the hour, no one was there and no one was hurt. We’re all extremely grateful for the quick, professional response of the Roanoke Police Department,” Warner said in the tweet. Warner’s office referred further comment to police.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, according to Roanoke City Police spokeswoman Caitlyn Cline. Police charged James W. Trainor with felony property damage on Monday. A man matching Trainor's description was seen carrying bricks in the area around 7:30 a.m., and Trainor was arrested later in the day in relation to another call, Cline said.

Cline said they believe it was an isolated incident and not “a precursor to anything bigger at this point."
