Stephen Miller’s New Wife Is In Charge Of Approving Coronavirus Communications


Katie Miller, Vice President Mike Pence's press secretary, will be point person for approving coronavirus messaging.

President Donald Trump placed Vice President Mike Pence in charge of the federal government’s response to the coronavirus epidemic, meaning that Pence’s office is now responsible for coordinating the administration’s messaging on the matter.

CNN reported that “officials on the task force who go on television will likely have to clear their statements with his office beforehand,” and according to a government-wide email sent by acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, Pence press secretary Katie Miller will be point person for those approvals.

Miller recently married notoriously anti-immigrant White House senior adviser Stephen Miller in a ceremony held at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., which was attended by the president himself.

Politico noted earlier this month that the 28-year-old “was also previously the spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, where she defended the administration's family separations policy and made some controversial comments about immigrants.”
