It is unclear at this time if the police will be pursuing this case.

Members of the Original Black Panthers removed six photos of Black victims of violence that were hanging with nooses on a tree in Milwaukee, according to a KOCO 5 ABC News report.

  • The photos included Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, Botham Jean, Ahmaud Arbery, Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin, four of whom died at the hands of police.
  • Activist King Rick said, “Historically, African Americans have been hung and lynched.I don't care what anybody says, they can justify it all they want to. It was disrespectful not only to the memories of these individuals — our beloved individuals — but also to the African American community, so I'm not hearing it.”
  • The Original Black Panthers called the photos racist, and it is unclear at this time who hung the photos.
  • Milwaukee police have not specified whether they are investigating the case.
