SENATORS LINDSEY GRAHAM AND JOHN MCCAIN ASK FOR ADDITIONAL TROOPS TO TOPPLE ASSAD

It would seem that some serious amnesia has returned to Washington, D.C. and particularly to Republican Senators.

Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain have asked for 5000-7000 ground troops in order to topple Assad’s regime.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) called Friday for between 5,000 and 7,000 American ground troops to be moved to Syria in an effort to take down the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Graham additionally said that when he told Trump that Thursday’s strike was “the first step,” Trump replied: “Yeah, I believe you’re right.” Jeva Lange

The U.S. has a very bad recent history (here, here, here,) with toppling regimes in the middle east or the greater-Muslim world.

Maybe it’s time that the U.S. realize that while its military can win wars, it is much harder to win the peace.
