RUSSIAN JOURNALIST AND ANTI-PUTIN ACTIVIST DIES OF HEART ATTACK

Anton Nosik, a well-known internet pioneer, journalist, and blogger died at age 51.

His cause of death is officially death by heart attack. Given his activities and Russia’s recent history, it is also possible that Mr. Nosik’s death was the result of foul play.

Other enemies of President Vladimir Putin who officially died of heart attacks were later shown to have been possible murderscommitted by Russia. Russia reportedly maintains an arsenal of biological weapons and chemical agents that can make poisonings look like natural deaths.

In the past, Mr. Nosik faced extremism charges as well as fines for the things that he wrote about. He once received a lot of criticism for comparing Vladimir Putin’s regime to that of past authoritarian Adolf Hiter. He helped start influential Russian publications like Newsru.com, Lenta.ru, and Gazeta.ru.
