Rudy Giuliani: 'I'm A Legitimate Whistleblower'
Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that he should be congratulated for being “a legitimate whistleblower”, according to Yahoo! News.
Giuliani has recently come under intense public and political scrutiny after the whistleblower complaint disclosed his attempt to pressure Ukrainian officials into launching an investigation into President Trump’s 2020 election rival, Joe Biden.
Although the assertion has been discredited by Ukrainian officials, Giuliani has popularized the claim that Biden called for the removal of a Ukrainian prosecutor in 2016 to further the business interests of his son, who was a board member for a Ukrainian natural gas company.
“If it weren’t for me, nobody would have uncovered and faced massive corruption by the vice president of the United States. In fact, I’m a legitimate whistleblower,” Giuliani asserted.
“I have uncovered corruption that this Washington swamp has been covering up, effectively, for years,” Guiliani said. “And [Trump’s] State Department asked me to do this. So Mike, if you’re unhappy with me, I’m sorry, but I accomplished my mission.”
