Roy Moore: I Am Innocent, Just Like Brett Kavanaugh And Clarence Thomas Were

Senate candidate Roy Moore defended his campaign by comparing himself to Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Clarence Thomas.

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore seeks out a seat in the Senate despite allegations of being a child molester, according to the Friendly Atheist

Moore’s campaign team uploaded a video to YouTube and used a unique strategy: liken Moore to Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh, both of whom faced credible accusations of sexual assault against women.

The ad, titled “Smear” shows clips of Thomas and Kavanaugh defending themselves and arguing that the allegations were made for political gain, rather than whether or not the crimes were actually committed.

“Smear can be defeated when good people take a stand. Senator Graham took a stand. Steve Bannon took a stand… To those Alabamians who are among the 652,000 that stood with Roy Moore in 2017, you have the establishment’s attention. On March 3, 2020, stand up and let your voice be heard again,” the ad announces.

The video then attacks his opponents’ “deceptive use of social media” to undermine Moore’s campaign, blaming that for Moore’s failure in 2017, and not his history for molesting teenage girls.

Like Kavanaugh, Moore insists that he will rise above the allegations against him: “After Kavanugh’s revelations came out, and after Kavanaugh survived them, they realized, and they saw through what happened to me. You know, there’s an old saying: you can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time.”

Wise words, Mr. Moore.
