Right Wing Terrorist Attacks Dallas Federal Building

Brian Clyde, 22, is the suspected shooter.

Brian Clyde, a 22-year-old man from Texas, stands accused of opening fire outside the Earle Cabell federal courthouse on Monday morning before he was shot down by law enforcement. According to The Daily Beast, Clyde wore a ski mask and a bulletproof vest when he opened fire in the courthouse parking lot.

Clyde shared right-wing memes on social media. The subject matter of the memes included Nazis, racism, the Confederacy, and misogyny. On Saturday, Clyde shared a photograph of gun magazines similar to the ones that he would have needed to use for the semi-automatic rifle he was pictured in on the Dallas Morning News.

Clyde had uploaded a video to Facebook last week suggesting that he had plans to use his gun. “I don’t know how much longer I have, but a storm is coming. However, I’m not without defense,” he said in the video as he revealed a rifle. “I’m fuckin’ ready. Let’s do it.”

More of Clyde’s social media posts point to his appreciation for guns. In a February 2018 Facebook post, he wrote, “Hobbies: shooting commies and Manifest Destiny.”

How exactly is this an "attack?" He is a member of no particular group it seems, and he was essentially hoping to get shot by the police. He didn't shoot anyone, he didn't hurt anyone, he just acted like a nut. A nut is likely what he is.

So what is the point of this article? How does it demonstrate anything other than one person doing something nutty?

Further, how is he a 'terrorist?'

If this is the quality of the deep thought of the Intellectualist, then perhaps I am in the wrong place.
