Report: Russian Olympian Rumored To Have Had Twins With Putin Has Vanished
Alina Kabaeva, “Olympic gold medal-winning rhythmic gymnast long rumored to have had twins with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” has not been seen since she was two-months pregnant, according to The New York Post.
- The 37-year-old reportedly gave birth to twin boys in Moscow in April 2019, per the report, but has long disappeared from public view.
- The Post noted that Putin has insisted he did not have a relationship with Kabaeva, but he also has worked hard to keep his other children — two adult daughters from his marriage to Lyudmila Shkrebneva — hidden from the public.
- A source in Moscow reportedly told The Sun: “Putin is an intensely private man. He has been hiding his two adult daughters under fake IDs for years. Even now, though he talks about them occasionally, he never names them. If Alina gave birth to his children, her hiding away might be one of the strongest hints pointing to this. He is obsessive about the security of his family.”
- The Post reported that Kabaeva "is chairwoman of the board of directors of the National Media Group, which won an exclusive contract to deliver Netflix content," and noted that rumors of a relationship between Putin and Kabaeva first emerged in 2008.
